Raghba Attar

I am giving this four stars because the initial blast of oud and incense is very strong. If you are expecting a light vanilla perfume this might be a bit of a shock to the system. However once it settles down after about thirty minutes the sugar and musk come out and it becomes a gorgeous smoky marshmallow scent. It is very long lasting and has a lot of personality. I would recommend applying it sparingly at first until you see how it reacts with your skin chemistry.

As a man who typically avoids overly sweet fragrances I was surprised by how much I enjoy Raghba. The incense in the base notes provides a dark smoky counterpoint to the sugar that makes it feel very masculine and mature. It reminds me of the smell of a high end shisha lounge or a bustling spice market at twilight. The sandalwood and amber give it a velvety texture that feels great on the skin. I find it perfect for evening wear or when I want to feel a bit more mysterious and indulgent.

This is easily the most "delicious" oud I own. The sugar and vanilla are very prominent but the musk keeps it from being too youthful. It smells very expensive and sophisticated.

I have been looking for a scent that feels like a warm blanket on a cold night and Raghba is exactly that. The opening hit of vanilla and oud is so creamy and rich. I wore this to an outdoor winter festival and the way the incense and sugar notes caught the cold air was magical. It is a very comforting and inviting fragrance that makes people want to lean in a little closer.
